1951
The Early Legacy
Originally founded by the Leduc family, the company (then "LEDUC J")
was a premier specialist in buttons, serving a then-thriving Belgian
fashion market.
2015
A New Era
Following the industry’s decline, the brand was relaunched by two
partners, including current CEO Thierry Desmidt. While retaining the
trusted "LEDUC" name, the business was modernized as Accessoires Leduc. Focused mostly on the fashion market, our company was selling its products in Belgium and all over Europe, while opening a subsidiary in Vigo to support international demand.
2017
Manufacturing Growth
We shifted toward supplying wholesalers, investing in specialized
machinery to produce small-format rolls of elastics, ribbons, and
webbings. This year also saw the successful debut of our knitted ribbing
collection.
2018-2019
Strategic Outreach
We expanded into supplying e-commerce platforms and major retail chains... Fashion business started to heavily decrease...
2020
Agility in Crisis
During the pandemic, we launched our digital storefront and
marketplaces. We temporarily pivoted to supply critical elastic
materials for masks to meet urgent global needs—a short-term mission
that underscored our logistical strength. We also opened our first
physical store on Boulevard Lemonnier, in Brussels...
Present Day
Despite the closure of our Vigo branch and Brussels shop on Boulevard Lemonnier due to external factors, we have successfully transitioned
into an online-first leader, also serving wholesalers and retail chains across Europe with unparalleled stock and speed, with remaining fashion customers continuing to work with us.
Today, Accessoires Leduc serves manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers throughout Europe while continuing to invest in innovation, customization and service.
